60th Annual Auxvasse Loafers Week


Loafer’s Week was created to give farmers a chance to spend time with family, friends and neighbors before the spring planting season began. There are drawings for cash gifts and a 50/50 raffle all week. Each day, a different group hosts a delicious meal and fellowship for the budget friendly price of $8 per person, including desert and drink. Feb. 17 - Knipp Family spaghetti with green beans and garlic bread. Feb. 18 - Callaway Bank with fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans and roll. Feb. 19 - Sons of Confederate Veterans with pulled pork, baked beans and coleslaw. Feb. 20 - Auxvasse Community Center with turkey, dressing, mashed potatoe & gravy, corn and slaw. Feb. 21 - Mexico Go Gitters - with pork loin, brown potatoes, green beans and roll. Feb. 22 - Auxvasse Lions Club with pancakes, bacon and sausage. For more information, call 573-386-5175.
